Built on trust. Rooted in Portugal.
Portugal Personal Fixer was built from a lived understanding of both Portugal and the expectations of an international life. That perspective shapes how we anticipate, navigate, and resolve.
Two worlds. One standard.
Clarity, control, and capability — for when life gets complicated.
Portugal Personal Fixer was founded to remove friction from the lives of people who cannot afford inefficiency. We combine local knowledge, international standards, and full ownership so every request feels clear, controlled, and already handled.
Experience became the operating standard
Carolina’s perspective is shaped by a life lived between cultures, countries and different ways of doing things. With strong Portuguese family roots and a career built in international hospitality across Europe and Latin America, she brings together local understanding with an international mindset.
That combination is at the heart of Portugal Personal Fixer — anticipating what clients need, understanding how things work in practice, and taking ownership until the job is properly done.

Portugal has always been personal to Carolina, long before it became professional. With Portuguese family roots and regular visits from childhood, the language, food, family dynamics and cultural habits were already familiar to her, even while living abroad. After years of studying and working internationally, choosing Portugal felt like bringing different parts of her life together: international experience and service standards on one side, roots, family and cultural understanding on the other. That perspective also means understanding how things often work in practice — through relationships, context, the right terminology and knowing when to insist, when to take a different route, or when the first “não dá” is not necessarily the final answer. In situations where clients have already been told something cannot be done, that practical understanding has often made the difference: speaking to the right person, reframing the request and approaching the process correctly can turn a dead end into a way forward.

Carolina was born in the UK, raised in Colombia, and later lived and worked across the UK, Spain and Portugal, while part of her hospitality education took place in Switzerland. Moving between Latin, British and Southern European cultures from an early age made adapting to different ways of communicating, working and thinking feel natural to her. It also taught her that when people relocate, what they need is rarely just translation or information — they need someone who can explain what is normal locally, what requires patience, what needs to be pushed, and what the next step is likely to be before they even know to ask. She has experienced first-hand how something that feels straightforward in one country can work very differently in another, from appointments and response times to bureaucracy, follow-up and even the meaning of “urgent.” As someone who is British and Portuguese, with Colombian roots and upbringing, she has always lived between cultures rather than seeing the world through only one of them. That ability to understand both sides — what a Portuguese person or institution expects and why an international client may find the same situation confusing or frustrating — is central to her role at Portugal Personal Fixer, where much of the work is about bridging that gap.

Carolina’s professional background is rooted in hospitality, beginning with her training in Switzerland, where she developed a strong foundation in structure, service standards, precision and attention to detail. She went on to build her career across very different environments and countries, including W Hotels in Spain, IHG in Colombia, Café Rouge and The George in Rye in the UK, and Vila Galé in Portugal, progressing through Food & Beverage, operations, team training, assistant management and hotel management. That experience taught her that excellent service is not simply about responding well to a request, but about anticipating what comes next, understanding priorities quickly, protecting privacy and coordinating the complexity behind the scenes so the client never has to manage it. High-touch service, in practice, meant taking ownership, remembering preferences, managing multiple people and suppliers, and following every detail through until it was genuinely resolved. That same mindset now defines the way she approaches complex requests at Portugal Personal Fixer — breaking down the problem, understanding what each party actually needs and connecting the pieces until there is a clear and practical way forward.

Carolina repeatedly saw the same problems appear in different forms: unclear bureaucracy, contradictory information, long delays, endless follow-ups and very little ownership. For international clients, the difficulty is rarely just the language — it is understanding how things actually move, who really handles the issue, whether an email is enough, when to call or go in person, what extra documentation may be needed, and when the question itself needs to be approached differently. She learned that in Portugal, knowing who to speak to, how to explain the situation and when to follow up can completely change the outcome. Portugal Personal Fixer grew from seeing capable, busy people spend hours chasing relatively simple matters because nobody was taking responsibility for the whole process. The need was clear: someone should understand the problem properly, coordinate whoever is needed, follow up and make sure it actually gets done.
